Running a Rehearsal Live Show Glow Premiere of "One Field" The Privilege of Teaching Arranging/Composing
Composing, Arranging, Performing, Teaching
ah, . . . it is a very musical life.
Thank you for visiting Sebenius Music!
This site is a library of music I have composed, including quiet instrumentals, soothing vocal duets, music set to classic literature, music for womens choir, childrens choir, and many songs for all ages.
Much of my early composing was done in the quiet of the mid-day while my newborn was knapping and my creativity was free to roam over the piano keys. Some of my best works came out of this period. I would like to give to you the song "There is So Much Love" from my first CD ECHO. Click here to go to the page to download and share as you wish.
Also on this site are arrangements of classical "miniatures" for small ensembles.
Much of the arrangements I do are for flute ensembles. I have recently become a part of a flute ensemble called "The Elle Flute Trio". I'm very excited to be in this trio with Lisa Hedley and Lisa Hirayama (I DO like to perform with musicians named Lisa!) where between us we have almost 20 flutes. We perform for private functions and outreach opportunities - we invite you to include us in your special occasion!
www.elleflute.comhas several pieces you can listen to, and here is a favorite.
Maple Leaf Rag, by Scott Joplin, arranged by L. Sebenius
for C, alto and bass.
Our very first performance was on Sunday March 28th, 2010 for the Swedenborgian Church of Puget Sound in Redmond Washington. Here is a video of one of four pieces we played, an arrangement I did for "Be Thou My Vision". Enjoy!
I am currently teaching private flute, recorder and beginning piano in the Ames Lake area of Redmond, Washington. Feel free to contact me at seben@msn.com or phone 425 466 5362 to find out more about lessons.
If you are wondering if your child is old enough for piano lessons, please read the article I wrote on this subject on the links to articles page and view other articles I have written for ParentMap magazine and the Examiner.com.
The most active part of my musical life is performing with my twin sister, Lisa Allison. I am honored to do this work with her, and invite you to visit our website which tells THAT story!Click here to visit www.letyourmusicshine.com
